And Verily, I Cursed
I learned this morning that my inadvertent cursing brings laughter and merriment to my Sports Doc.During my active release session, without thinking I let out a “fiddlesticks” during one painful moment and Dr. Chris could not stop laughing, which was OK because it gave me a break from the pain that is active release therapy.
I’ll Have Another Thank You
Winter sniffles bringing you down or turning up your frustration levels? If you like hoppy beers, this is your lucky day!
A new study published by scientists at Sapporo Medical University finds a key ingredient in beer can ward off colds in adults. The magic ingredient is “humulone” and it was found to be effective in curbing the respiratory syncytial (RS) virus which can also result in pneumonia and bronchitis in young children. Sorry kids, no beer for you!
Unfortunately, one would have to drink around 30 12 oz. beers for it to have any virus-fighting effect. Insert sad face here…
Not to worry, there are plenty of other healthy reasons to drink beer. A Dutch study found beer-drinking participants had an average of 30 percent higher levels of vitamin B6 levels in their blood than their non-drinking counterparts, and twice as much as wine drinkers.
Beer also contains vitamin B12 and folic acid. So yeah, we’ve got that going for us too!
Weekend
Friday marks the arrival of the weekend and a moment to relax until the work week begins again. May your runs be swift and your beer choices be craft!
And may Navy beat Army!

So your Mum told you that 'fiddlesticks' was a swear word? That's cute.
One of my mountain bike friends always laughs at me because every crash involves profanity.
Hops look like little green caterpillars.
I'm glad Adam commented because I didn't know what I was looking at.
I can just see you using the word 'fiddlesticks' ;)
